These people keep cslling me from various different numbers, never leave a message on my answering machine, but I know they are harrassing me very much, almost every day. Please make them stop calling me. Thank You Very Much

asked for someone who does not live here. asked for SSn. I would not give it. Said they would check back later.

This company buys old debts from collection agencies and then tries to recover them with their added penalties and interest. They have over 100 numbers...all different area codes as well as 800...888...& 866 numbers, so you can't possibly block them. There usually isn't anyone on the other end of the line, but if you're unlucky enough to get someone, beware, they use terrible language and all sorts of scare tactics. Your best option is, if you don't know who's calling, don't answer. I spoke to a lawyer, and he said that, as far as credit card debts, if they are 4 years old or older, you legally don't have to pay them, as long as no action on your part has taken place, no type of payments, no charges, no actions at all in 4 years. So I consider this company one of simple harrassment and nothing else. If you do happen to answer the phone and it's these rummies on the other end, hang up!

Ladies and gentlemen: So sorry for you guys, now it is my turn for these calls. I do bankruptcies as a bankruptcy preparer and this company has decided to call me. They got very irate (ooooh, such language they have)with me when I couldn't/wouldn't give any info on the person they were looking for. Advice to you is to actually block this numbe from calling. It is the best way. Good Luck.

This is the umpteenth telephone number the company has used. It's likely regarding a credit card debt that's at least 20 years old. Apparently they've also called my mother, since I lived with her for a while during the early 1990's. Portfolio also did some "short" reviews of my credit report last year. If they have my address, why not send me a letter? Guess it costs too much to send letters to everyone for whom they have worthless debts.
