Evidently this is a call center for Citibank. I had written Vikram Pandit CEO Citibank at his office at 399 Park Avenue, New York 10017, about the rate hike on my Home Depot account. The Home Depot cards are issued and owned by a Citibank affiliate. The caller asked for James, always a giveaway; (I hate this first-name culture.) I was reticent. The caller was very professional and had all the right information; I did not give any except the last four digits of my SS #.
The call was legitimate.
