wanted my father's social security number and doctors name for diabetic supplies.

These people have called me several times. I have an answering machine, so I always say if it is someone I know, they should leave a message. Otherwise, DO NOT CALL ME.

On Nov. 30 a woman called asking asking for my mother by name. She wanted to know if she was taking her diabetic medicine. The woman hung up promptly when Mom said that she was not a diabetic. She called several times before but my parents had not answered because they did not recognize the number.

Someone from 502-554-3816 called my elderly mother today (11/23/10) and wanted to send her a free diabetics monitor. They asked her for a Medicare # and she give it to them. She realized what she did after she hung up. She is now freaking out. What should we do?

A woman called asking for the wife. I was non-committal since I had no idea of whom I was talking and then she asked if the person of the house who had diabetes was present. I said there was no one with diabetes and she promptly hang up the phone. I found that to be very irritating and more so since I had several time engaging things to do that particular day
