Rec'd a call from CRA re: an old credit card that was charged off in 2000. He said I owed 12K and I was being "warned" that if I did not pay the settlement amount of 7100 or agree to make payments, a 1099c would we issued and I would owe the IRS taxes on the amount (around 4200). i asked what the CRA acronym stood for and he said it's just CRA. What a joke! I told them to let me think about it. I wanted to tell them to KMA!
