They keep calling and hang up as soon as my answering machine is about to pick up the call. I tried using *60 which will block unwanted incoming calls and followed the instructions.Unfortunately, sometimes that does not work. It said that the phone number 813-000-4825 did not exist. Obviously, it does as they have called many times. Usually this method of blocking unwanted calls works like a charm! I am on DNC registry, but many of this scams do not pay attention to this registry. They are con men/women. Why would they go by the rules.

called me, I did not answer the # and they did not leave a message. It said that the number was from Florida. If you try to call it back it says your call can not be completed as dialed. Defintely a scam.

this is fraud.. notify the police immediatly.. 000 is SPOOFED exchange. there is no 000 phone exchange. They claim to be cardmember services calling to lower your rate.. however after connecting you.. they ask who am I speaking with (they called you remember... shouldn't they know?) I told them calling from a spoofed telephone number was illegal and I was notifying the police. they laughed and hung up. which no legitimate company would do. See if your phone provider has a call trace feature.. you press * then (varies on provider) and the previous call is traced and info held for police. This is BLATENT FRAUD.. notify the police at once. addl information: This is definatly these guys...IF you gave them your credit card number call your card services and have them cancel out the number and issue you a new card with a new number (not a replacement card with the same number). JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The Missouri attorney general is warning consumers about a phishing scam concealed as a call to lower your credit card interest rate. Consumers say the caller claims to be from "Card Services." You are then asked to dial a number which is typically 9 if you are interested in lowering your credit card rate. Then, you are asked for your credit card number to see if you qualify for this lower rate. Attorney General Chris Koster says it's just an attempt to steal your credit card information. "This is a typical phishing scam, in that it tries to play on consumers’ emotions and excitement at the idea of saving money," Koster said. "But as always, consumers should never give out their personal information to anyone who contacts them."
