Got a call from the 877-218-3219 number, they were digging for presonal privileged information. They claimed to represent Capital One, provided me with the last 4 numbers of my "supposed" account, and then persisted to try getting my personal identifiable information. I asked for some information about the account (which I knew that I did not have) and they refused to cooperate. All that I asked was when the account was created because one of my other credit card accounts was compromised in October, and I wanted to see if this account was created around the same timeframe. After going round and round with the character, he would not coopoerate nor provide me with someone with higher authority. Called Capital One, they verified that I did NOT exist in their credit card accounts, and promptly sent me over to the fraud department to file the complaint. I had to repeat the whole elongated story for the third time, game them the info that I dug up on this phone number and they thanked me for the assistance.
