I got the same message, "Thx 4 Visiting Our Site Call 877-220-2710 To Claim Your $20 Wal-Mart Card Plus $50 Gas Card! Reply STOP 2Unsub". The only thing I can think of is that I just purchased a flight through Priceline.com, as I have not made any other purchases online in recent history.

I also received the tex message to my cell. "4157460964: Thx 4 Visiting Our Site Call 877-220-2710 To Claim Your $20 Wal-Mart Card Plus $50 Gas Card! Reply STOP 2Unsub" I did visit one site 30 minutes before I received the text message but I made a purchase from www.thirtyonegifts.com, I did not visit any of the affilliates the caller later mentioned. I did call to see what the scam was all about and she told me that she is from a telemarketer who works with affiliates like am/pm and others (like gas stations) and offered to send me these cards and all I had to do was pay the postage and handling of $2, and I could pay using any of my "Plastic" cards. When I explained to her my scepticism about giving her my credit card numbers for cards I will never see she provided me with her name with spelling and her employee ID#. I explained to her that I did not visit her site and did not know where this text came from and would like to know before I committed to giving card numbers. When I sat down at my computer to look up the information while I had her on my cell she acted like she could not hear me and we eventually got disconnected... what a pitty. guess I won't be getting those cards after all... any similar experiences?

I received the same text. I don't recall visiting any site lately and giving them my telephone number... reports as from 4153738156 as the sender.

I just got a text message asking me to call this number for a free $20 WalMart card. Has to be a scam.
