These people have called daily for the past 2 months! They always ask for "Marcy". I've had the same number for the past 15 years and there is NO "Marcy" living here. The first few times they called I told them they had the wrong number and assumed they would stop calling. Wrong! When they call (one of two people), I ask who is calling and they refuse to give me any information and insist that "it's a yes or no question, Is Marcy There or not?" These people are beyond rude. I've even pretended that I am in fact "Marcy" - They don't believe me and hang up! They make me want to smash my phone to pieces!

I had gotten one call about a year ago, told the nasty man that I would need a copy of the contract that I signed before I would do anything and never heard back. Mon, Jan 7, I got a call saying that this debt was "very serious" and wondering why they would say I owed them money if I didn't. I called my congressman's office and the FTC. The calls kept coming until I told one young lady that I had complained to the FTC and my congressman and the company was a scam and she should quit her job before she got into trouble. I have not heard from them since. We all need to register complaints -- there are probably lots of people who cave and give them money.

This so called collection agency started calling me on December 4th, 2009 claiming that I owe $499.87 for a magazine subscription from a company called United Magazine Service. Apparently I haven’t paid since 2006 so they claimed. I hung up on them and they called back and threatened to take me to court. I buy my magazines direct and do not owe any past due amounts. They have called back about 2-3 more times and the final call they placed to my residence claimed that I stopped paying 6 months ago and they couldn’t debit my First Union bank account. First Union no longer exists. I have never received any past due notices and a respectable collection agency sends paperwork via email. I have called the 917-668-9395 number several times and it automatically goes to voicemail. I have attached complaints about this same phone number that I found online. When I researched the number I found that it is based out of Woodside, County of Queens, NY. I have found other complaints on line regarding this phone number. I believe it’s a scam and they are trying to rob people’s money and identity. Claimed they sent me a notice in April 2009, I told them to send it again and they always hang up. Said I owed for 300 subscriptions from 2006.
