Well. Just for $#!t$ and giggles I called the number. DOUBT HIGHLY that I will get a call back. lol. BUT it did have a vm greeting so Im assuming that it IS an active number. Im getting sick and tired of this crap too. URGH!!! Opportunistic f***ks. I, like a lof of other people, am unemployed and DILIGENTLY looking for work. This is frustrating and wastes time and energy on the part of the job seeker. ESPECIALLY in times like this where the jobs are scarce and the competition id fierce.

I am like one of the earlier responses to this bogus listing. I am not applying to anymore jobs on craigslist. I have had enough with them asking for credit reports and personal info. This is horrible, well I am not giving them the benefit on getting my info. because when the email comes back asking fro a credit report I just delete the whole thing. Craigslist will lose a lot of readers if they don't put a stop to this, they have posted a scam notification before you enter the site but this does not help. Anyway, I will go with monster or another website to post my resume'.
HERE IS THE CRAP
Thank you I received your email and I'm sure we can work something out.
When would you be available to meet for an interview? There's a couple
perks of the job I'm sure you'll appreciate, company cell phones is one of
the main things. If you're available sometime soon call me during the day
please. Also if you have your resume printed out please have that
available and also credit report printed out - free-credits-reports.com
would suffice and is free - having both of these will help speed up the
process on my end, also bring some form of identification. Oh and bad
credit won't negatively hurt your chances for the job, so don't worry about
that if that's the case.
Respectfully,
Charles Moore

the main things." Thanks for everyone who reported on this confirming my suspicions that it's a scame for the free credit report site.

Yes, this is completely bogus, I too have been diligently seeking a job via Craigslist for weeks now and every response I get is for a stupid credit check or to further my fricken education. This is the last straw for me, I refuse to use Craislist anymore if this is the kind of response we are getting for job postings. I'm using Monster now and will probably continue to do so. All these Credit Report places like freecreditreport.com is manipulating sites like Craigslist for their own purposes, I don't think Craigslist should let anyone post a job ad if it has any kind of credit report requirements in its text. This is so irritating.....

I just got another email...this one is from Michelle Parker, new phone number, but in response to the same add from craigslist. she also included their website...has anyone heard if this is infact legit? here is what she said:
It’s great to hear from you *** ***,
Thank you for e-mailing us. In case the post was not clear, the responsibilities of employment are as follows: you will be answering the phone and taking messages when applicable, you will be scheduling our company meetings, and running errands for the company for things such as purchasing office supplies and making bank deposits (you will be provided with a company car). While you are running errands, you will also be given one of our company credit card(s) for all business purchases.
You seem very qualified for this position, and more so than others we have received emails from today. I would like to take the next step with you. However, before I can set up a formal meeting, YLD will require that you obtain a recent(past 14-21 business days) credit report. We at YLD Corporate enforce this because we have unfortunately had some bad experiences with prior employees taking advantage of having a company credit card.
Both myself and YLD heavily prefer it if you use http://freecreditreportsnow365.com to acquire this information as they are currently offering a credit report, at zero cost to you. We at YLD Corp. have also found that their scores always report back the most factual and accurate information compared to others. All potential applicants are to complete this step as suggested by our branch of the BBB.
After you submit all necessary information, their company will show you your personal credit report. Then, you will need to email me your reported credit score, and we will then be able to schedule for our formal meeting. I ask you to please not email me your entire credit report, as it will most likely have private information in the report. If you currently have a lower than expected credit score, it will not prevent you from a future position with us.
If you do not wish to send in a recent credit check, unfortunately we will need to meet with other applicants.
Personally, I am excited to fill this position and looking forward to your quick response.
Have a great day,
Michelle Parker

I to applied for a job posted on Craig's List - I received an e-mail back from a man citing the cell phone number above as "John Davis". This is what he sent me... Hi,
Thank you for your interest in this job opening. We are looking for
someone who will make a great asset to our team and that requires hard
work and reliability. A few perks that come with the job that I'm sure
you'll appreciate are: company cell phones, reimbursement for the
commute to and from work, along with dental and health insurance, and
paid vacation. Just let me know if you think you may be interested and
if you have your resume printed out please have that available along
with a credit report printed out - freecredirep.org would suffice and is
free -and a copy of your drivers license, having these will help speed
up the process greatly on my end. Just read the terms and get it all
rady to go then call me and we will set it up. Bad credit won't
negatively hurt your chances for the job, so don't worry it is just a
company requirement. Thanks again for you interest and i hope to hear
from you soon.
OK - So where exactly is this Executive Admin Position? NOT!! This is such a scam... I am posting info back onto Craig's List and alerting them that anyone using these posting is a scammer and not legit!! Anyone else who get's this should too!! I spend 8 to 10 hours a day looking for a real job and don't have time for scammers!!

Just sent this to customer support at freecreditreport.com:
ATTENTION SUPERVISORS...................PLEASE READ AND RESPOND!
You must have an employee or affiliate going onto Craigslist and posting bogus job postings in order to solicit your business by asking potential candidates to bring a copy of their resume and to obtain their free credit report at freecreditreport.com to present at an interview.
I searched the phone number given by a "Mr. Kevin Hodges" (323-892-0867) and found a couple phone search websites where other victims of this fraudulent scheme have posted the EXACT same email responses that I received. The job posting he used was very detailed for the business that I am in, which leaves no doubt this person probably copied an actual advertisement. Per the phone search website, another name this wretch used was "Charles Moore" along with the SAME email responses.
This person says he wants to set up interviews and then he disappears from contact. The intent to promote freecreditreport.com is OBVIOUS.
Those of us in desperate search of employment at this time of recession do not find this ethical in any way, and feel that freecreditreport.com should get to the bottom of this and offer some semblance of apology and give regular updates on this horribly UNETHICAL behavior.
Please reassure us as the victimized public at large that such a huge company backing freecreditreport.com doesn't support this type of behavior. This is past acceptable, and I personally would like to know if this person is an employee, and if so, that he/she gets dismissed for misleading no telling how many hundreds of people that they have job interviews.
Thank you for your IMMEDIATE attention to this issue.
